"I have to choose between paying bills and tithing—there's not enough for both."
How it sounds in your head: You look at the account and it's either the electric bill or the offering, but not both. You feel guilty if you don't tithe but terrified if you can't pay rent. It feels like God is demanding what you don't have.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Source: Religion weaponizes tithing as obligation; enemy creates false scarcity; legalism ties provision to performance; lack mentality blocks faith.
The math literally doesn't add up—there is not enough money in the account for both expenses. Choosing one means the other doesn't get paid, and both feel urgent.
She had two small coins—literally all she had to live on. She gave both, and Jesus honored her heart. The parallel widow in 2 Kings 4 who had nothing but a jar of oil saw God multiply it until all debt was paid with surplus.
I REFUSE the lie that there's not enough for both my needs and God's kingdom. IT IS WRITTEN that God supplies ALL my need according to HIS riches (Philippians 4:19)—not according to my paycheck, not according to my debt, but according to His limitless resources. IT IS WRITTEN that the widow's last bit of oil multiplied until every vessel was full (2 Kings 4:6)—multiplication is His nature. I don't choose between God and survival; I trust Him AS my provision. The BARAK blessing includes blessed storehouses and barns—He commands blessing on what I have. My Father fed 5,000 with a kid's lunch (John 6:11); He can make my paycheck cover everything. I receive supernatural multiplication, unexpected provision, and more than enough for EVERY need. He is not demanding what I don't have; He's about to show me He's Jehovah Jireh.
Your Father isn't standing over you demanding the electric bill money—He's the one who wants to pay BOTH and show you there's more than enough when you're connected to Him. He's about to multiply what's in your hand.
