THE LIE Parent-Child Wounds

"I have to break these generational curses or my children will suffer like I did."

How it sounds in your head: Addiction runs in my family. Divorce. Poverty. Mental illness. If I don't do the inner work, confess every ancestral sin, break every curse, my kids are doomed to repeat it.

IT IS WRITTEN Galatians 3:13

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree')."

Enemy whispers: You must break the curses or your children suffer. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Galatians 3:13—Christ HAS REDEEMED us from the curse. Past tense. Finished. Done. You don't break curses—you ENFORCE what Jesus already broke. Every generational curse was nailed to the cross 2,000 years ago. Your job isn't curse-breaking—it's RECEIVING what's already done and declaring your children blessed with the blessing of Abraham, which protected even murderers and liars because it's COVENANT, not behavior.

Religion—making curse-breaking about human effort instead of what Christ ALREADY did at the cross, creating works-based anxiety.

You see the patterns repeating—your grandmother's anxiety is in you, your father's rage flashes in your son. The deliverance ministries say unconfessed ancestral sin gives demons legal ground. You feel responsible.

Obed-Edom

Housed the Ark of God for three months with no special preparation or cleansing ritual. God blessed him, his ENTIRE household, and ALL that he had—instant generational blessing with zero curse-breaking protocol, just proximity to God's presence.

I REFUSE the lie that I must break generational curses to protect my children. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ HAS redeemed us from the curse—past tense, finished, done. I don't break curses; I ENFORCE what Jesus already broke at the cross. Every generational pattern, every ancestral sin, every demonic claim was CANCELED 2,000 years ago. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed and my children are blessed with the BARAK blessing of Abraham—protected coming in and going out, above only and not beneath. My children are COVERED by covenant, not cursed by ancestry.
