"I need closure or an apology from my parents before I can move forward."
How it sounds in your head: They never acknowledged it. Never said sorry. One's dead, the other has dementia—I'll never get the words I needed. So I'm stuck here, waiting for something that will never come.
"He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins."
-- Colossians 1:13-14Enemy tying your freedom to another person's repentance instead of Christ's finished work.
Justice demands acknowledgment. Healing requires closure. Every therapist says you need to hear 'I'm sorry'—but it's never coming and you feel trapped.
Being stoned to death by people who would NEVER apologize. As they killed him, he said 'Lord, do not charge them with this sin.' INSTANT forgiveness while the rocks were still flying—no apology needed, no closure required, just grace.
I REFUSE the lie that I need their apology to be free. IT IS WRITTEN: God has DELIVERED me from the power of darkness and CONVEYED me into the kingdom of His love—past tense, finished. My freedom isn't tied to their repentance. Christ ALREADY redeemed me. IT IS WRITTEN: I have redemption through His blood. Stephen forgave while being stoned—no apology, just grace. I am FREE NOW. The BARAK blessing is mine—not because they made it right, but because Christ DID. I am delivered, whole, and moving forward NOW.
The Father isn't waiting for them to apologize to free you. He already freed you at the cross. Their acknowledgment doesn't unlock your healing—Christ's blood ALREADY did. You're not stuck. You're standing in the kingdom of His love RIGHT NOW, fully free.
