"I don't have enough energy or strength to keep up with younger women."
How it sounds in your head: The 25-year-olds at the gym, at work, in my friend group—they have stamina I don't anymore. I'm tired all the time. My body doesn't recover like it used to. I feel like I'm aging out of relevance in every space that values vitality.
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31Culture that worships youth and dismisses women past their 20s as declining in value and vitality.
Her body genuinely feels different—slower recovery, more fatigue, hormonal shifts—and everywhere she looks, youth is celebrated while aging is treated as loss. She's physically experiencing changes that feel like diminishment.
At 85 years old, after wandering 40 years in wilderness, Caleb declared 'I am as strong TODAY as I was at 40' and demanded the MOUNTAIN with giants on it as his inheritance. Age didn't diminish him; faith sustained him, and he took the hardest territory.
I REFUSE the lie that my strength is fading with age. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength—mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint. My vitality comes from HIM, not from my age. I am not declining; I am being RENEWED day by day. IT IS WRITTEN that though outwardly I'm aging, inwardly I'm being renewed daily. I carry the Abrahamic blessing that kept Sarah beautiful at 90 and made old bodies fruitful. I am STRONG in the Lord.
The Father isn't sad about your changing body—He's renewing your strength FROM HIS SOURCE, not your biology. Like Caleb at 85 claiming mountains, your strength is found in Him, and He makes you STRONG regardless of age.
