"I'm not good enough with words—I can't express what I feel or think."
How it sounds in your head: Other people are articulate, confident speakers, good at texting, smooth in conversations. I stumble over words, freeze up in important moments, can't explain what's in my head. I sound stupid when I talk. People who can communicate well get ahead; I'll always be misunderstood.
"So the LORD said to him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.'"
-- Exodus 4:11-12Academic and social systems rewarding verbal performance, creating shame around natural communication differences; enemy blocking voice and expression.
He's watched smooth talkers win in every arena—classrooms, relationships, job interviews. He's replayed awkward conversations in his head for days. He feels like his thoughts are trapped inside because they won't come out right.
Moses argued with God, saying 'I am slow of speech and slow of tongue,' trying to disqualify himself from leading Israel. God said 'I MADE your mouth—go, and I'll teach you what to say.' Moses led millions out of Egypt and spoke face-to-face with God despite his speech impediment.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm not good enough with words to communicate effectively. IT IS WRITTEN that the LORD made my mouth and will BE WITH my mouth, teaching me what to say. God doesn't require eloquence—He requires AVAILABILITY. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus will give me words and wisdom that cannot be resisted when I need them. Moses was 'slow of speech' yet became the greatest leader and lawgiver in Israel's history because God was WITH his mouth. I don't produce eloquence—I RECEIVE divine words when I need them. I am blessed with the BARAK—favor goes before me, and my words carry weight and authority because God backs them.
The Father isn't waiting for you to become articulate before He uses your voice—He MADE your mouth exactly as it is and promises to be WITH it when you speak. Moses argued about his speech, and God essentially said 'I know—I made you that way on purpose. Now GO.' Your voice matters because it's YOURS, not because it sounds like someone else's.
