"My past mistakes have disqualified me from God's best plan for my life."
How it sounds in your head: You made choices you can't undo. You said yes when you should have said no. You feel like you've forfeited God's 'Plan A' and now you're stuck with a lesser version of what could have been because you blew it.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."
-- Joel 2:25Religious teaching that God has a perfect plan you can miss, making grace insufficient to redeem mistakes.
The consequences of your choices feel permanent. You can't erase what happened, and it feels like you're living in the wreckage of what could have been if you'd chosen differently.
Peter denied Jesus three times—swore he didn't know Him, cursed, abandoned Him at His darkest hour. After resurrection, Jesus didn't demote Peter or put him on probation. He RESTORED him with three affirmations, gave him the keys to the church, and Peter preached at Pentecost weeks later with 3,000 saved.
I REFUSE the lie that my past disqualified me from God's best. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten—not give me leftovers but RESTORATION. My mistakes don't derail God's plan; they reveal the power of His redemption. IT IS WRITTEN that there is no condemnation for those in Christ. I am not living in Plan B. I am living in the plan where grace is bigger than my worst decision. The Father doesn't see my past and shake His head; He sees my future and smiles because He's already making beauty from ashes.
The Father doesn't look at your past and downgrade His plans for you; He looks at your past and says, 'Watch what I can do with this.' He's not giving you a lesser version—He's giving you a REDEEMED version that showcases His power to turn every mistake into a testimony of grace.
