"I don't have the strength or resilience that others have—I break too easily under pressure."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone else seems to handle stress, trauma, pressure without falling apart. You have one hard week and you're in bed crying. You must be weak, fragile, unable to handle what strong people handle with ease.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Enemy using mental health struggles to redefine your identity as 'broken' instead of 'beloved.'
The evidence is overwhelming—anxiety attacks, depression episodes, crying over things others shrug off. Your brain doesn't work like theirs, which means you're fundamentally weaker and less capable than everyone who seems fine.
Elijah just called down fire from heaven and defeated 450 prophets of Baal—then ONE threat from Jezebel sent him into suicidal depression in the wilderness. God didn't rebuke him for weakness; He IMMEDIATELY sent an angel with food, let him sleep, and then gave him his next assignment.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too weak to be used. IT IS WRITTEN that His strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. My mental health struggles don't disqualify me—they're the canvas where His power is displayed. I am not defined by my worst day or my hardest moment. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:29 that He gives POWER to the weak and INCREASES the strength of those who have no might. I am not broken beyond repair—I am a vessel where His glory shines through cracks. I am STRONG in HIM.
The Father isn't disappointed in your tears—He's collecting them in a bottle and meeting you with angel-food in the wilderness. While you're calling yourself weak, He's calling you BELOVED and wrapping you in His strength.
