"I don't have the social skills or emotional intelligence that others have—I always say the wrong thing."
How it sounds in your head: You replay conversations in your head for days, cringing at what you said. Everyone else seems to know how to navigate social situations while you're constantly putting your foot in your mouth. You're exhausting to be around and you know it.
"So the LORD said to him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.'"
-- Exodus 4:11-12Enemy using neurodivergence or social anxiety to make you believe your design is defective.
You've watched people's faces change when you speak, seen the subtle eye rolls, felt the group move on without you. The evidence piles up: you're socially awkward, and everyone's just too polite to say it.
Jeremiah said, 'I cannot speak, for I am a youth'—young, inexperienced, lacking social credibility. God didn't send him to Toastmasters; He IMMEDIATELY touched his mouth and said, 'I have put My words in your mouth.' Jeremiah became one of the greatest prophets in history.
I REFUSE the lie that I say the wrong thing or lack social intelligence. IT IS WRITTEN that the LORD made my mouth and promises to be WITH my mouth and teach me what to say. I am not socially defective—I am divinely designed. My words carry HIS authority, not the world's approval. IT IS WRITTEN in Luke 21:15 that He will give me a mouth and wisdom which my adversaries cannot contradict. I don't need perfect social skills—I need HIS SPIRIT. I am eloquent in HIM, anointed in speech, and backed by Heaven when I open my mouth.
The Father isn't cringing at your words—He's putting HIS WORDS in your mouth and calling you His messenger. While you're replaying awkward moments, He's already preparing divine appointments where your 'awkward' words will carry life-changing power.
