"I don't feel powerful, so I must not have authority."
How it sounds in your head: Powerful Christians have this confidence, this presence. You feel weak, anxious, unsure. Authority should feel like something, right? You don't feel it, so you probably don't have it. Feelings don't lie.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:7Source: Enemy taught you to trust emotions over covenant position, making authority feel-based instead of fact-based.
You compare your internal shakiness to others' external confidence. You think authority should feel like a surge of power or boldness, and when you don't feel it, you assume it's not there.
Moses argued with God for four chapters, saying 'I can't speak well, send someone else.' He felt completely inadequate. God got angry and said, 'I'll be with your mouth.' Moses went and Pharaoh's empire collapsed in ten plagues. Feelings of inadequacy didn't stop the power.
I REFUSE the lie that my feelings determine my authority. IT IS WRITTEN that I walk by faith, not by sight or emotions. My authority is a COVENANT FACT, not a confidence feeling. I may feel weak, but God's strength is made perfect in weakness. I don't need to feel powerful to BE powerful—I just need to be IN CHRIST. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:13 that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am Abraham's seed, blessed whether I feel it or not, and the BARAK doesn't fluctuate with my emotions.
The Father is smiling at your honesty. He's saying, 'You feel weak? Perfect. That's when My power shows up best. Stop waiting to feel like a warrior. You ARE a warrior, and feelings are the last thing to catch up.' He's not waiting for you to feel ready—He's already backing your words.
