"Healing is a process and I need to be patient and wait for gradual improvement."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone says 'healing takes time.' The doctors say recovery is months, maybe years. The Christian books say 'progressive healing' and 'journey to wholeness.' It feels greedy or immature to expect instant results. Maybe real faith is patient faith, trusting God's timing, celebrating small improvements. Maybe expecting a miracle overnight is the kind of faith that sets me up for disappointment.
"So when He saw them, He said to them, 'Go, show yourselves to the priests.' And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed."

Everything in her experience says healing takes time—broken bones take weeks, physical therapy takes months, recovery is measured in increments. Her doctors have given her timelines, her parents keep saying 'one day at a time,' and the idea of instant healing feels too good to be true, like something that happened in Bible times but not anymore.
Bartimaeus was a blind beggar, sitting by the road, completely dependent on others. He cried out to Jesus, and when Jesus called him, Bartimaeus threw aside his garment (his beggar identity) and came to Jesus. Jesus asked what he wanted, Bartimaeus said, 'I want to see,' and Jesus said, 'Go your way; your faith has made you well.' And IMMEDIATELY he received his sight. From blind beggar to seeing man in ONE CONVERSATION.
I REFUSE the lie that I have to wait patiently for gradual healing, as if God's power is slow-release instead of instant and overwhelming. IT IS WRITTEN that as the lepers WENT, they were cleansed—not eventually, AS THEY WENT. Bartimaeus went from blind to seeing IMMEDIATELY. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 107:20 that God 'sent His word and HEALED them, and delivered them from their destructions'—one word, instant impact. I am Abraham's seed, walking in the BARAK that promises the blessing is COMMANDED on my storehouses, not slowly accumulated. I don't wait for healing to trickle in; I RECEIVE the flood of wholeness Jesus already purchased. Right now. Today. IMMEDIATELY.
The Father isn't asking her to patiently endure a slow recovery as if He's rationing out healing in doses. He's running toward her with the FULL restoration, the complete package, the total breakthrough—ready to speak one word that collapses timelines and makes 'gradual' look foolish in the face of His overwhelming NOW.
