"I must have hidden sin or unforgiveness blocking my healing from God."
How it sounds in your head: If healing is available, why don't I have it yet? I must be doing something wrong. Maybe I haven't forgiven someone completely. Maybe there's sin I forgot to confess. The sermon said unconfessed sin blocks blessings. I've been searching my heart but healing still hasn't come.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Religion making healing conditional on perfect performance, turning grace into works, making YOU the problem instead of receiving God's gift.
Lack of immediate manifestation seems to prove something is blocking it. Christian teaching often lists 'reasons healing doesn't come' (unforgiveness, hidden sin, lack of faith). Your youth makes you doubt your spiritual maturity. Scanning for personal failure feels like taking responsibility.
Four friends ripped open someone's ROOF and lowered a paralyzed man to Jesus (property damage, interrupting a sermon, creating chaos). Jesus' first words weren't 'confess your sins' or 'examine your heart'—He said, 'Son, your sins are FORGIVEN,' THEN 'Rise, take up your bed and walk.' Forgiveness and healing came as ONE PACKAGE, INSTANTLY, without the man saying a single word or confessing anything. Jesus initiated BOTH based on the man's friends' faith alone.
I REFUSE the lie that my sin blocks God's healing. IT IS WRITTEN that while I was STILL A SINNER, Christ died for me, which means His love and healing aren't conditioned on my perfection. IT IS WRITTEN: 'By His stripes I WAS healed'—past tense, FINISHED, purchased before I even knew I needed it. I am the righteousness of God IN CHRIST, not by my behavior but by His BLOOD. The Abrahamic blessing protected LIARS and DECEIVERS because covenant isn't about performance—and I'm in a BETTER covenant through Jesus. I STOP searching for blockages and START RECEIVING. Healing is MINE, not because I'm good enough, but because JESUS IS.
Your Father isn't withholding healing until you find the hidden sin—He's holding out healing WHILE you're still imperfect, like the father ran to the prodigal while he STILL SMELLED LIKE PIGS. He didn't make the son shower first. He doesn't make you 'get right' first. Healing is a GIFT, not a wage.
