"I need to build my faith up to a certain level before healing can manifest."
How it sounds in your head: You don't have enough faith yet. Look at those healing evangelists—they have mountain-moving faith. You're still doubting, still fearful. You need to study more, pray more, believe harder. Once your faith reaches the right level, then God can work.
"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
-- Mark 11:24Source: religious teaching that makes faith a work you perform to earn healing, rather than simple trust in what's already finished at the cross.
Jesus talked about faith the size of a mustard seed moving mountains, and he feels his faith is shaky at best. Quantifying faith as something to build feels logical, like career skills he's developed over time.
The centurion simply believed Jesus' WORD was enough—didn't need Him to come to his house, just 'speak the word only.' Jesus marveled and said He hadn't found such great faith in all Israel, and the servant was healed THAT SAME HOUR—instant, from a distance.
I REFUSE the lie that I need to manufacture more faith before God can heal me. IT IS WRITTEN that God has already dealt to me THE measure of faith, and Jesus said even faith as a mustard seed moves mountains. My faith isn't in my faith—my faith is in the FINISHED work of the cross. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed, past tense, already done. I'm not building faith to earn healing; I'm simply receiving what Christ already purchased 2,000 years ago. The BARAK blessing doesn't measure my faith level—it responds to covenant. I believe I receive NOW, and I will have it. I am the healed—healing is my inheritance, not my achievement.
The Father isn't standing at a distance with a faith-meter waiting for your needle to hit the green zone before He releases healing—He's already released it at Calvary. He's not impressed by the strength of your belief; He's moved by the heart that simply says 'I trust You' and reaches out like a child.
