"My faith isn't strong enough—if I had enough faith, I'd already be healed."
How it sounds in your head: I've seen others healed instantly. What's wrong with my faith? Maybe I don't believe hard enough. Maybe I have secret doubts. If my faith were the size of a mustard seed, this mountain would move—so I must not even have that much.
"For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?"
-- Romans 3:3Religious teaching that measures healing by human faith levels rather than Christ's finished work.
She's been taught healing requires great faith, and the absence of healing proves insufficient faith. She's compared herself to healing testimonies and found herself lacking. Leaders have asked, 'Do you REALLY believe?' implying her faith is the problem.
A Roman soldier, not even a Jew, asked for his servant's healing. He didn't have perfect theology or years of Bible study—just simple trust in Jesus' authority. Jesus marveled at his faith and said, 'Go; let it be done as you have believed,' and the servant was healed THAT VERY HOUR.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith performance determines my healing outcomes. IT IS WRITTEN that God's faithfulness is not nullified by my weak moments—HE remains faithful even when I feel faithless. My healing is not a reward for great faith; it's a GIFT received by simple trust. IT IS WRITTEN that faith the size of a mustard seed moves mountains—the SIZE doesn't matter; the OBJECT does, and my faith is in JESUS. The BARAK blessing didn't require Abraham's perfect faith—he doubted, laughed, lied—but the covenant stood firm. I rest in HIS finished work, not my faith intensity. Healing is MINE by grace through faith, and even that faith is a GIFT!
The Father isn't measuring your faith with a spiritual thermometer to see if it's hot enough for healing—He's looking at Jesus' faith, which was perfect on your behalf. Like the father who ran to the prodigal based on sonship, not the son's confident faith in his welcome, your Father runs to you based on Jesus' finished work, not your fluctuating feelings of belief.
