"Healing evangelists are all scam artists taking advantage of desperate people. It's safer to not believe."
How it sounds in your head: You've seen the TV preachers in shiny suits pushing people over and asking for money. You've heard the horror stories of fake healings and manipulated audiences. It's made you so cynical about the whole healing movement that you've thrown the baby out with the bathwater—rejecting the real because you've seen the counterfeit.
"Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'"
-- Matthew 7:22-23Source: Legitimate hurt from religious manipulation weaponized into blanket rejection of the supernatural, making cynicism feel like protection.
There ARE scammers, there ARE manipulators, and you've probably been burned by hype that didn't deliver. Protecting yourself from being fooled again feels wise, even if it means closing your heart to the possibility of real miracles.
He wasn't an apostle, just one of the seven deacons chosen to wait tables, but when persecution scattered the church he went to Samaria and preached Christ. Unclean spirits came out of people crying with loud voices, many paralyzed and lame were HEALED, and there was GREAT JOY in that city—all through a 'regular' believer doing what Jesus said believers would do.
I REFUSE the lie that because some healings are fake, all healing is fake, as if counterfeits negate the real. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus warned about people doing miracles in His name without knowing Him—which means REAL miracles exist or there'd be nothing to counterfeit. I will not let religious scammers steal my access to supernatural healing. IT IS WRITTEN that these signs follow those who believe—I am a believer, so healing follows ME. I don't need a stage or a TV show to access God's power; I have the Holy Spirit living IN me. I am an heir of Abraham's BARAK blessing, which includes signs, wonders, and healing. I receive the real and reject the fake.
The Father isn't asking you to follow sketchy preachers or trust everyone who claims to heal—He's asking you to trust HIM and the power He already placed inside you. He's running toward you with the same healing anointing that rested on Philip (a table-waiter turned evangelist), wanting to flow through your ordinary, non-famous hands. You don't need to go to a crusade; you ARE the crusade wherever you go.
