"Healing is only for those with no unconfessed sin. I need to get right first."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe there's hidden sin blocking my healing. I need to examine my heart, confess everything, make sure I'm fully clean before God will move. Until I've dealt with everything, I can't expect healing.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:13-14Religious condemnation that makes healing conditional on perfect confession instead of finished work of cross.
You remember times of secret sin and feel unworthy. James says 'confess your sins and pray for healing,' so you assume one requires the other. Your conscience knows failures you haven't fully addressed, creating guilt that seems to block blessing.
Caught IN THE ACT of adultery—maximum guilt, public shame, deserved death penalty. Jesus said 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.' No probation period, no penance, immediate freedom. Sin addressed and forgiven in one moment.
I REFUSE the lie that I must achieve sinless perfection before receiving healing. IT IS WRITTEN that God forgave me ALL trespasses and nailed ALL requirements to the cross. There is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus—not 'less condemnation' but NONE. The BARAK protected Abraham when he LIED, Isaac when he DECEIVED, Jacob when he STOLE—covenant blessing doesn't wait for perfect behavior. IT IS WRITTEN that while I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me. If He saved me in my worst state, He'll heal me now.
Your Father isn't checking your confession record before healing you—Jesus' blood covers what you can't even remember. Like the prodigal received everything while still smelling like pigs, you receive healing while still broken and imperfect.
