"People who claim instant healing are probably lying or it wasn't that serious."
How it sounds in your head: When I hear testimonies of instant healing, part of me wants to believe, but another part feels suspicious. Was it really as bad as they said? Are they exaggerating for attention? The skeptical voices in my head sound so reasonable - maybe I'm just being discerning by not getting my hopes up.
"Then Peter said, 'Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.' And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God."
-- Acts 3:6-8Source: enemy - spirit of unbelief planting cynicism to prevent faith from rising and accessing breakthrough.
She's been disappointed before - prayed for healing that didn't manifest, watched others celebrate breakthroughs she didn't experience. Protecting herself from disappointment by doubting others' testimonies feels safer than risking hope again and being hurt.
He was crippled in both feet since age five, living in hiding in a place called 'Lo Debar' (meaning 'no pasture' - barren place), expecting nothing. David searched for him, restored ALL Saul's land to him, gave him permanent place at the king's table - complete reversal from one conversation, not because Mephibosheth earned it but because of COVENANT with Jonathan.
I REFUSE the lie that instant healing testimonies are exaggerated. IT IS WRITTEN: Acts 3:6-8 - a man lame from birth was healed IMMEDIATELY and leaped, praising God. Jesus healed a woman who'd bled for 12 years with one touch - INSTANTLY. Cynicism is not discernment; it's unbelief wearing a safety mask. IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, forever. I am a branch connected to the healing Vine. The BARAK blessing of Abraham flows through my bloodline in Christ - instant provision, instant protection, instant breakthrough is my covenant inheritance. I align my expectation with Scripture, not with disappointment. Miracles are STILL HAPPENING.
The Father isn't offended by your caution - He's running toward you with testimonies of His faithfulness to rebuild your hope. Every genuine healing you've doubted was His invitation to believe again, and He's not tired of proving His love to you through others' breakthroughs until yours manifests.
