"Having nice things while others lack makes me a bad person."
How it sounds in your head: I want to upgrade my car, get a better apartment, buy quality clothes. But every time I do, I hear: 'Meanwhile people are starving.' I can't enjoy anything without guilt. Even eating at a nice restaurant feels selfish.
"Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy."

Missionaries are praised for suffering while entrepreneurs are suspect. Every purchase feels like a moral test. You've been taught that true Christians should 'live simply so others can simply live.'
Solomon was the richest man alive—'greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.' God didn't rebuke his wealth. God GAVE it to him and said 'I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor' (1 Kings 3:13).
I REFUSE the lie that nice things make me selfish. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives me richly ALL THINGS to ENJOY—not endure, ENJOY. I am Abraham's seed, heir to the BARAK blessing that overtakes me. Christ redeemed me from poverty's curse so I could walk in covenant abundance. IT IS WRITTEN that my Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills—He's not broke, and neither am I. I receive quality, beauty, and excellence WITHOUT GUILT because I'm connected to the Vine and blessing is FRUIT. The prodigal got the BEST robe, not the servant's hand-me-down. I am a SON, and sons enjoy the Father's house. I bless others FROM overflow, not FROM emptiness. The Father delights in my prosperity.
Right now, the Father is looking at something you want and smiling, waiting for you to receive it without the guilt speech. He's not keeping a ledger of who deserves what—He's a Dad who loves giving His kids good gifts.
