"God will provide without me giving—He knows I need it more than others"
How it sounds in your head: I'm the one in need here. God sees my situation, my age, my limitations. Surely He doesn't expect me to give when I'm the one who should be receiving. He'll provide for me another way.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

The need is real and visible—medical costs, limited income, rising expenses. It seems obvious that God would provide TO me, not ask me to give FROM my need.
In the midst of severe famine, down to her LAST handful of flour and final drops of oil, preparing to eat and die, Elijah told her 'Make me a cake FIRST.' She gave from her LAST, and God made her barrel of flour and jar of oil supernaturally NEVER run out—daily provision for her, her son, and the prophet for over three years from one act of giving in extreme need.
I REFUSE the lie that my need disqualifies me from giving. IT IS WRITTEN that when I GIVE, it is GIVEN back to me—pressed down, shaken together, running over. Giving isn't the consequence of provision; giving is the ACTIVATOR of provision. IT IS WRITTEN that it is more blessed to give than receive—I step into greater blessing by giving even from my need. I am Abraham's seed with the BARAK covenant, and the widow gave FIRST from her LAST and never ran empty. My giving doesn't deplete me—it MULTIPLIES back to me. I give, and the windows open.
The Father doesn't look at your need and exempt you from the joy and blessing of generosity—He looks at your need and invites you into the SOLUTION, which is the same for everyone: give, and watch Me pour back. Your need qualifies you for the miracle, not disqualifies you from obedience.
