"God stopped doing miracles because people abused them or made it about themselves."
How it sounds in your head: I've seen televangelists make healing about money and attention. I've watched manipulative 'faith healers' perform and wondered if God just stopped doing miracles because people ruined it. Maybe He withdrew His power when people stopped using it purely, and now we're left with mostly fakes.
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
-- Romans 11:29Source: trauma - disillusionment from witnessing manipulation in charismatic settings, projecting human failure onto God's character.
She's been in services where healing felt performative or seen leaders fall morally while claiming miracle power. The emotional wound from spiritual abuse makes her believe God must have stepped back from supernatural manifestation to avoid association with corruption.
He broke every Nazarite vow, slept with a prostitute, revealed God's secret, lost his strength, was captured and humiliated. Yet when he prayed one final time, God gave him GREATER strength than ever - he killed more enemies in his death than in his life, despite being the most compromised judge.
I REFUSE the lie that God withdrew miracles because people abused them. IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 11:29 - God's gifts are IRREVOCABLE. He doesn't take back power when humans fail. Samson broke every vow and still got his greatest miracle. The woman with the issue of blood healed herself by 'stealing' from Jesus' garment. IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, forever - He hasn't changed policy because of televangelists. I am a branch in the Vine; His power flows TO me, not THROUGH my perfection. The BARAK protected liars, deceivers, and murderers - it's not based on human purity but covenant promise. Healing is MINE now.
The Father's power isn't so fragile that human failure can break it. He's releasing miracles through imperfect people RIGHT NOW because His grace is the power source, not human performance - and He's running toward you with healing despite every disappointment you've witnessed.
