"God made a mistake when He formed my body this way"
How it sounds in your head: You wonder if something went wrong in the womb, if your disability is a divine error or punishment. Other bodies work seamlessly—yours requires constant accommodation. Surely this wasn't the plan. Surely you're the exception, the mistake, the misfire.
"So the LORD said to him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?'"
-- Exodus 4:11Enemy + trauma: God's goodness questioned; disability seen as divine failure rather than enemy's work in a fallen world.
Your body doesn't match the 'fearfully and wonderfully made' narrative you hear in church. Pain and limitation feel like evidence of something gone wrong, not something purposeful.
Born blind—disciples asked whose sin caused it, his or his parents. Jesus said NEITHER—'that the works of God should be revealed in him.' Then INSTANTLY healed him with mud and a command. The disability wasn't punishment; it was a setup for God's glory.
I REFUSE the lie that God made a mistake with my body. IT IS WRITTEN: The Lord Himself formed me—'Have not I, the LORD?' I am not an error; I am His workmanship, created with purpose and intention. My disability does not define God's opinion of me or His plan for me. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give ABUNDANT life—and that abundance is mine NOW, in this body. IT IS WRITTEN: I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God does not make mistakes; He makes masterpieces. I am His intentional creation, perfectly positioned for His glory to be revealed.
The Father isn't looking at your body with regret or disappointment—He's looking at you with the same delight He had when He knit you together in the womb. He calls you WONDERFUL, not flawed. He sees PURPOSE where the enemy planted shame.
