THE LIE Sickness as God's Will

"God is using this sickness to glorify Himself through my endurance."

How it sounds in your head: People at work see me push through the pain. My kids see me pray despite symptoms. Maybe this is my testimony—not healing, but faithfulness in suffering. Maybe God gets more glory from my endurance than my healing.

IT IS WRITTEN John 11:4

"When Jesus heard that, He said, 'This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.'"

Enemy whispers: God is using your sickness for His glory. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: John 11:4 - Jesus said Lazarus' sickness was for God's glory, then RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD. God was glorified through RESURRECTION, not disease. Jesus didn't leave Lazarus sick as a testimony—He destroyed death. Your healing glorifies God, not your endurance of what Jesus already destroyed. God gets glory when you walk in the victory He purchased, not when you suffer what He already bore.

Why this feels true:

Others have commented on his strength through the struggle, and he's had opportunities to witness he wouldn't have had healthy. The fruit seems to validate the suffering.

THE BIBLICAL PRECEDENT John 9:2-3,7

Man born blind

Blind from birth, disciples asked who sinned to cause it. Jesus said 'Neither, but that the works of God should be revealed in him,' then IMMEDIATELY made clay, anointed his eyes, sent him to wash, and he came back seeing—God was glorified through HEALING, not blindness.

I REFUSE the lie that God is glorified through my sickness. IT IS WRITTEN that when Jesus said sickness was for God's glory, He then RAISED THE DEAD—glory came through healing, not disease. My endurance doesn't glorify Him—my victory does. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I was healed. I am Abraham's seed, blessed with the BARAK that cannot be cursed. My testimony is the POWER of the cross to heal, not my ability to suffer well. I receive instant healing NOW and God gets glory through resurrection power in my body.

Your Father isn't showcasing your suffering—He's showcasing what His Son accomplished. He wants you healed so the world sees His power, not your pain. He's already prepared the fatted calf to celebrate your healing, not your endurance.
