"God is disappointed in me for wanting to quit ministry."
How it sounds in your head: You begged for this opportunity. You said you'd serve wherever He called. Now you want out? That's not dedication, that's flakiness. God doesn't use quitters. You're proving you weren't really called in the first place.
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."

She made commitments publicly and stepping back feels like breaking a vow to God. Wanting rest feels like spiritual weakness.
Jonah literally ran from his calling, got swallowed by a fish, finally obeyed but then wanted to die because God showed mercy instead of judgment. God's response wasn't rebuke for quitting - it was gentle questions about compassion, meeting Jonah where he was emotionally without condemnation.
I REFUSE the lie that God is disappointed in me for wanting rest. IT IS WRITTEN that He rejoices over me with SINGING and quiets me with His LOVE - not with guilt trips or performance reviews. I am His BELOVED, not His employee. My worth isn't determined by my ministry output but by His unchanging love. The BARAK blessing over my life means I'm covered even when I'm weak, protected even when I'm tired, blessed even when I step back. IT IS WRITTEN He gives power to the weak and increases strength to those who have no might - He doesn't condemn my exhaustion, He meets it with His strength. I silence the accuser's voice and hear my Father singing over me.
The Father isn't in heaven sighing with disappointment. He's the parent who sees their child trying to carry a backpack too heavy and gently takes it off their shoulders, saying "I never asked you to carry this." He's inviting you to the table, not pointing you back to the field.
