"God doesn't heal everyone, so He must not want to heal me specifically."
How it sounds in your head: I prayed for my grandma and she died anyway. I've seen other people stay sick even with tons of prayer. Maybe God just picks some people to heal and I'm not one of them.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Source: Trauma from unanswered prayer mixed with religious teaching that makes God's will mysterious and selective.
The evidence seems clear—good people pray hard and still suffer. Either God doesn't want to heal everyone, or He has mysterious reasons I'll never understand.
Sick with a fever, lying in bed unable to serve. Jesus touched her hand and the fever left IMMEDIATELY—not gradually, not over days. She got up and began serving them right away, fully restored in seconds.
I REFUSE the lie that God doesn't want to heal me. IT IS WRITTEN that God's will is for me to prosper and be in health. Jesus healed EVERYONE who came to Him—not one person was turned away as 'not part of the plan.' I am under the BARAK blessing that includes supernatural health and wholeness. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I was healed—past tense, finished work. Sickness isn't God's tool to teach me. Pain isn't His plan for my character. I receive healing as my covenant right, purchased by Jesus' blood and guaranteed by His unchanging nature.
The Father isn't playing favorites with healing. He's the Dad who ran to the prodigal while he was still far off, who threw a party instead of a lecture. He doesn't withhold healing as punishment or character-building—He ACHES to restore you because that's who He is, not because of what you've done.
