"God didn't bless my business because I wasn't faithful or wise enough."
How it sounds in your head: If I'd prayed more, sought more counsel, been more discerning, God would have made it succeed. This is on me. I didn't have enough faith. Maybe God was trying to stop me and I didn't listen.
"And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work."
-- Romans 11:6Religious lie that blessing is EARNED through performance, prayer hours, and perfect discernment—Old Covenant thinking that makes her the savior instead of Jesus.
She can look back and see mistakes, missed warnings, rushed decisions. Ministry leaders teach that blessing follows obedience, so the inverse must be true—failure means disobedience.
Deceived his father, lied, stole his brother's blessing through manipulation and fraud. When Isaac discovered it, he trembled but declared, 'I have blessed him—and he SHALL BE BLESSED.' The blessing stuck despite deception because it was covenant, not character-based.
I REFUSE the lie that God's blessing depends on my faithfulness, wisdom, or prayer life. IT IS WRITTEN that if blessing is by grace, it is no longer of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace. Jacob LIED and DECEIVED and was still blessed because covenant isn't based on character. I am in the BETTER covenant, sealed by the blood of Jesus, not my performance. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13 that Christ redeemed me from the curse so Abraham's blessing is mine. The BARAK isn't earned—it's inherited. My Father doesn't withhold because I missed something; He RUNS toward me with robe, ring, and sandals before I finish my apology.
Your Father isn't grading your business plan or prayer journal. He's running toward you with the blessing that protected liars, deceivers, and murderers in the Old Covenant—how much MORE does His grace cover you in the BETTER covenant through Jesus?
