"God didn't bless my business because I wasn't faithful or righteous enough."
How it sounds in your head: Other Christian businessmen prospered—guys you know cut corners morally. But God didn't bless yours. Maybe you weren't praying enough, weren't tithing right, had hidden sin. God was testing your faithfulness and you failed the test.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Religious system teaching that God's blessing is payment for behavior, directly contradicting grace covenant.
He watches less 'righteous' men prosper while his business failed, creating cognitive dissonance that religion explains through 'you weren't faithful enough.' His generation was taught blessing equals God's approval.
Jacob DECEIVED his father Isaac, stealing Esau's blessing through outright lies and manipulation. When discovered, Isaac said 'I have blessed him and he SHALL BE BLESSED'—the blessing couldn't be reversed even by deception.
I REFUSE the lie that God withheld blessing because I wasn't faithful enough. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13-14 that Christ redeemed me from the curse so Abraham's blessing would come on me by FAITH, not works. Jacob the deceiver remained blessed. Abraham the liar was defended by God. The BARAK blessing isn't earned by righteousness—it's mine by covenant through Jesus' blood. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO CONDEMNATION for me in Christ. My Father isn't grading my faithfulness—He's running toward me with restoration while I still smell like business failure. I am blessed coming in and going out because I am IN CHRIST.
Your Father isn't withholding blessing until you perform better—He gave you His Son, and with Him freely gives ALL things. The prodigal lost everything through rebellion, yet the Father ran with the robe and ring before he finished his apology.
