"Everything I touch turns to failure. I ruin good things."
How it sounds in your head: You've watched relationships crumble, projects fail, dreams die. There's a pattern, and you're the common denominator. Maybe you're cursed. Maybe you're the problem that ruins everything you touch.
"To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
-- Isaiah 61:3Source: Enemy accusation reinforced by confirmation bias that highlights failures while erasing successes.
You can list the failures chronologically—the job you lost, the friendship that ended, the business that folded. The evidence feels overwhelming that YOU are the variable that breaks things.
Peter denied Jesus three times, cursing and swearing he never knew Him—catastrophic failure. Jesus INSTANTLY restored him by the fire, gave him the keys to the kingdom, and made him the rock who'd launch the church.
I REFUSE the lie that I ruin everything I touch. IT IS WRITTEN: He gives me beauty for ashes—I am a tree of righteousness, planted by the LORD. My past failures don't define my future fruit. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:28 that ALL THINGS work together for good because I'm called according to His purpose. I am BARAK blessed—the covenant blessing that protected liars, deceivers, and failures covers ME. What looks like ruin is raw material for redemption. I am planted to flourish, not to fail.
The Father is running toward you carrying beauty to trade for your ashes, whispering 'I'm turning this around—watch Me make something GLORIOUS from what you thought was ruined!' He's not condemning your past; He's REDEEMING it.
