"Everyone leaves eventually—I'm not the kind of person anyone stays for."
How it sounds in your head: Every close friendship has an expiration date. Your best friend from high school barely texts. Your college roommate moved on. People drift, and you're always the one left behind watching everyone else's group photos.
"For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"
-- Hebrews 13:5Abandonment wound weaponized by the enemy—using natural life transitions to convince you that you're uniquely unworthy of lasting connection.
The data seems irrefutable. Dad left. Friends graduated and disappeared. Every relationship eventually fades. You feel like a stopover, not a destination.
Hagar was a used, abused slave girl, cast out and dying in the desert with her child. In her absolute abandonment, God SOUGHT HER OUT personally, and she became the only person in Scripture to give God a name: 'El Roi—the God who SEES me.'
I REFUSE the lie that everyone leaves and I'm not worth staying for. IT IS WRITTEN that God will NEVER leave me nor forsake me—not 'probably not' but NEVER. I declare I am not defined by who walked away but by who moved CLOSER—the God who sees me. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing can separate me from the love of Christ—not abandonment, not distance, not silence. I am tethered to the unchanging God by blood covenant. The BARAK blessing means I have supernatural favor—the right people are drawn to me and the wrong ones exit to make room. I am never truly alone.
The Father didn't just refuse to leave you—He's incapable of it because you're IN Him. You're not hoping He stays; you're hidden in Christ where abandonment is impossible. He's closer than your next breath.
