"Everyone else has close friends, but I'm always the one left out or forgotten."
How it sounds in your head: You watch group texts you're not in. You see the girls' trips you weren't invited to. You're the backup friend, the one they call when everyone else is busy. Even your kids have better social lives than you.
"For your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth."
-- Isaiah 54:5Enemy: Reinforced by years of middle school exclusion wounds now replaying in adult form.
The evidence feels overwhelming—unanswered texts, plans made without you, feeling invisible at church or school events. Your calendar has work and kids' activities, but no coffee dates with friends who actually pursue you.
Elijah believed he was completely alone, the only one left serving God, isolated and ready to die. God immediately revealed seven thousand others who hadn't bowed to Baal—Elijah was never alone, he just couldn't see the community God had already prepared.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm destined for loneliness and social rejection. IT IS WRITTEN that my Maker is my husband, the Lord of hosts who calls me His beloved. I am the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD in Christ, which means I carry His irresistible presence everywhere I go. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed and heir according to the promise—the BARAK blessing that caused even pagan kings to favor Abraham covers me. God is drawing genuine friendships to me right now, not because I've perfected my personality, but because the Father is running toward me with His ring, robe, and celebration. Divine connections are finding ME.
The Father isn't waiting for you to be funnier, thinner, or less awkward before He brings friendship. He's already positioning women in your path who will see you, choose you, and stay—not because you earned it, but because He's that kind of Father who gives good gifts to His daughters.
