How it sounds in your head: If medical tests show nothing, it must be God. Maybe I watched something I shouldn't have, or lied to my parents, or had thoughts I shouldn't think. Maybe God is making me sick because I sinned and I can't even remember what I did wrong.

When there's no medical explanation, spiritual explanation seems logical. If you can't fix it, it must be God's doing—and if it's God, you must deserve it somehow.
Sick for 38 YEARS, no one to help him into the healing pool, Jesus found him and said 'RISE, take up your bed and WALK'—IMMEDIATELY he was made well. Later Jesus said 'sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you,' but He HEALED him FIRST before addressing any sin. Healing came before performance.
I REFUSE the lie that my Father is punishing me with sickness for hidden sin. IT IS WRITTEN that the blood of Jesus cleanses me from ALL sin—past, present, forgotten, remembered, ALL covered by the blood. I am not under condemnation; Romans 8:1 says NO condemnation for those in Christ, and I am IN CHRIST. My Father isn't a detective looking for reasons to make me sick; He's a Father who sent Jesus to take ALL punishment so I could walk in ALL blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed the man at Bethesda who'd been sick 38 YEARS—healed him FIRST, before any sin conversation, because MERCY is His first response. I am blessed with the BARAK that covered Abraham even when he LIED TWICE—the blessing isn't removed by my failure because it's based on COVENANT. I receive healing NOW because the blood has CLEANSED me, not condemned me.
Your Father isn't scanning your browser history looking for reasons to make you sick—He's scanning the cross where every sin was nailed and every punishment was finished. He sees you through blood-bought righteousness, not through a sin microscope.
