"Christians can't have demons, so if I'm struggling with this, I must not really be saved or Spirit-filled."
How it sounds in your head: I was taught Christians can't have demons, but I'm clearly being harassed. Does that mean I'm not really saved? Maybe my salvation didn't 'take.' Maybe the Holy Spirit never really came in. Everyone else seems fine—what's wrong with ME?
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
-- Ephesians 6:12Source: Religious teaching that denies spiritual warfare exists for believers, leaving them without framework to understand ongoing attacks.
She's experiencing real spiritual harassment but has been taught it's impossible for Christians, so the only logical conclusion is that she's not really a Christian. The theology creates a crisis of identity instead of equipping her to fight.
Paul, the most anointed apostle who wrote half the New Testament, had 'a messenger of Satan sent to buffet him.' Clearly saved, clearly Spirit-filled, clearly experiencing demonic harassment. God's response wasn't deliverance but 'My grace is sufficient'—the attack didn't disqualify Paul's identity.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual attacks mean I'm not saved. IT IS WRITTEN: Ephesians 6:12—believers wrestle against spiritual forces. Paul himself faced a messenger of Satan. IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 8:38-39—neither angels nor demons can separate me from the love of God in Christ. My salvation is sealed by the Holy Spirit, not proven by absence of battle. I am under the BARAK covenant protection—the blessing that protected Abraham even when he sinned. Attacks don't disqualify me; they prove I'm a threat to darkness.
The Father isn't questioning your salvation because you're being attacked—He's standing WITH you in the battle, reminding you that the victory is already won. You're not fighting to become His daughter; you're fighting because you ARE His daughter and the enemy is furious.
