"All my questions mean I'm losing my faith and disappointing God"
How it sounds in your head: Every theology podcast makes me doubt more. My youth pastor would be so disappointed if he knew what I'm actually thinking. Maybe I'm just not cut out for Christianity like the other girls at church who seem so sure.
"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter."
-- Proverbs 25:2Religion teaches doubt equals disobedience—but Jesus welcomed Thomas's questions without condemnation.
Church culture celebrates certainty and treats questions as rebellion, making her intellectual honesty feel like spiritual failure. The girls who post worship lyrics get praised while her honest struggles feel shameful.
Thomas openly declared he wouldn't believe without physical proof—the ultimate doubt statement. Jesus didn't shame him; He showed up specifically for Thomas, invited him to touch His wounds, and Thomas responded with the greatest declaration in Scripture: 'My Lord and my God!'
I REFUSE the lie that my questions are destroying my faith. IT IS WRITTEN that it's God's glory to conceal and my glory as His royal daughter to search out truth. My intellectual honesty doesn't threaten God—it delights Him. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus personally showed up for doubting Thomas without one word of condemnation. I am the BARAK blessed daughter of Abraham, and the blessing protects me even in my questions. Every question draws me closer to the One who IS Truth.
The Father isn't nervous about your questions—He's the one who gave you a curious mind. Right now, while you're questioning, He's running toward you with answers wrapped in relationship, not formulas.
