"Your influencer dreams are selfish. Real ministry doesn't make money or look appealing."
How it sounds in your head: I want to create content, build a brand, maybe do beauty or fashion or lifestyle stuff, but church makes it sound like that's shallow compared to 'real' ministry. Like if I'm not poor and uncomfortable, I'm not really serving God.
"Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: See, I have called by name Bezalel... And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze."
-- Exodus 31:1-5Religious culture separates sacred from secular, teaching that appealing aesthetics and profitability indicate spiritual compromise.
Every missionary presentation shows poverty and sacrifice. The 'spiritual' girls at church don't care about fashion or branding, and when I do, I feel like I'm less godly. Making money from content feels too easy to be ministry.
God specifically called and anointed Bezalel with His Spirit to be an artist and craftsman, designing beautiful works in gold, silver, bronze, and fine fabrics. The tabernacle was meant to be stunning, proving God values beauty, creativity, and excellent aesthetics as worship.
I REFUSE the lie that my creative dreams are selfish. IT IS WRITTEN that God fills people with His Spirit for ARTISTIC works and beautiful design. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing that made Joseph second in command of a nation covers my influence and platform. IT IS WRITTEN that whatever I do prospers because I'm connected to the Vine. My content, my brand, my creativity are WORSHIP, not worldly compromise. I receive favor, visibility, and financial breakthrough through what I create because it's ANOINTED by connection to Jesus.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to choose between creativity and spirituality. He's the Father who made a universe of stunning sunsets and intricate design - your beauty, branding, and influence reflect HIS nature when you're connected to Him.
