"Asking God for money is selfish when people are starving and suffering."
How it sounds in your head: When I think about asking God for things I want, I feel guilty because I see kids on mission trip videos who have nothing. It feels selfish to want money for myself when other people need it more.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

She's been shown suffering in other countries and told she's privileged and should be grateful, not asking for more. Wanting provision feels like ignoring the poor.
Jehoshaphat's army faced three enemy nations and was outnumbered. They worshiped instead of fighting, God destroyed the enemies, and it took them THREE DAYS to collect all the spoils—they left loaded with abundance they didn't work for.
I REFUSE the lie that asking God for provision is selfish when others suffer. IT IS WRITTEN that God supplies ALL my need according to HIS riches in glory—not according to who else needs something. His supply isn't limited. Jehoshaphat's army spent three days gathering spoils they didn't fight for because God delights in overwhelming provision. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 9:8 - God makes ALL GRACE ABOUND so I have ALL SUFFICIENCY in ALL THINGS and abound to EVERY GOOD WORK. I can't bless the poor from my own poverty. The BARAK blessing on me OVERFLOWS to others. My abundance is not selfish—it's strategic for the Kingdom.
Your Father isn't making you choose between your needs and someone else's—His supply is LIMITLESS, and He wants you overflowing so you can pour into the suffering. You're not taking from the poor by receiving; you're positioning yourself to BE their answer. He gave Jehoshaphat three days' worth of spoils to show that His provision exceeds any lack.
