"Your body is developing wrong or too fast, making you awkward and unlovable."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone's staring. You're growing too fast, too slow, too much in the wrong places. Boys don't look at you the right way or look too much. You're trapped in this changing body you didn't choose and can't control.
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
-- Psalm 139:14Enemy: Shame about God's design to steal confidence during formation years
Mirror shows changes daily. Clothing doesn't fit right. Comments from family about your body. Comparison to girls in magazines, TikTok, Instagram—their bodies seem perfect while yours feels foreign.
Esther was taken as a young girl, different ethnicity, in a foreign land, yet she 'obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.' Her beauty wasn't about perfection but about favor—God's design on her life made her irresistible for her purpose.
I REFUSE the lie that my developing body is wrong or awkward. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made—MARVELOUS are His works, and my soul knows it. Every change in my body is Father's design, His artwork, His purposeful creation. IT IS WRITTEN that I am altogether beautiful with NO FLAW. I am the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM—blessed coming in and going out, blessed in this body, in this season. Father runs toward me celebrating THIS version of me, calling me beautiful, daughter, beloved.
Father isn't critiquing your body's changes—He's the Artist watching His masterpiece unfold exactly as designed. He runs toward you with the robe that fits perfectly NOW, celebrating every inch of you as fearfully and wonderfully made.
