"Your body has declined. You'll never be strong or healthy like you were at thirty."
How it sounds in your head: I can feel it—the slower recovery, the nagging injuries, the belly that won't budge. My testosterone is dropping, my energy is shot by 8pm, and my doctor just added another prescription. This is just aging. Decline is the trajectory now.
"Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
-- Psalm 103:5World's biological determinism; medical system managing decline instead of declaring life.
The mirror doesn't lie. Your bloodwork shows the numbers dropping. Every fitness article talks about 'age-appropriate modifications.' Your peers are all declining too—this is just what happens in your forties.
Caleb at 85 declared, 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war.' He then proceeded to drive out giants and take the mountain. Age didn't diminish him—FAITH sustained him at full strength for forty-five years.
I REFUSE the lie that physical decline is inevitable. IT IS WRITTEN that my youth is renewed like the eagle's—not preserved, RENEWED. Caleb was as strong at 85 as at 40 and took mountains from giants. Moses at 120 had undimmed eyes and unabated vigor. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me and gives LIFE to my mortal body (Romans 8:11). IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I was healed—past tense, finished work. The BARAK blessing includes being blessed in my body, coming in and going out. I am not managing decline. I am WALKING IN RESURRECTION LIFE.
The Father isn't managing your aging process—He's defying it. While you're accepting medical pronouncements about 'normal for your age,' He's renewing you like the eagle, strengthening you like Caleb, and preparing your body to carry an assignment that requires VIGOR, not retirement.
