"Using insulin means I'm not claiming my healing by faith."
How it sounds in your head: The faith healer said people threw away their insulin after he prayed and they were healed. My diabetes is Type 1—I'll die without insulin. But am I blocking my miracle by not stepping out in faith and stopping my shots?
"Now Isaiah had said, 'Let them take a lump of figs, and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.'"
-- Isaiah 38:21Source: religion teaching that medical dependence equals lack of faith, making life-saving treatment a test.
She hears testimonies of people who stopped medication and got healed. Her disease is different—her pancreas literally doesn't work—but the pressure to 'prove faith' is crushing.
Hezekiah was sick to death, and God sent Isaiah the prophet to heal him. Isaiah didn't just pray—he prescribed a medical treatment (fig poultice), and Hezekiah was healed through both the word AND the medicine working together.
I REFUSE the lie that insulin blocks my healing. IT IS WRITTEN that Isaiah gave King Hezekiah medicine and God healed him through it. My insulin is wisdom that keeps me alive, not evidence of weak faith. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I am healed, and I can believe that while also taking care of my body. I am Abraham's seed, the BARAK blessing covers my pancreas completely, and I receive both medical wisdom AND divine healing without contradiction. My life is not a faith test.
Your Father is NOT waiting for you to risk your life to prove you trust Him—He's the one who gave scientists the wisdom to create insulin. He's running toward you with healing in His heart and insulin in His hand, celebrating that you're alive and thriving, never demanding you choose between faith and staying alive.
