"Taking medication for my anxiety or depression means I don't have enough faith in God to heal me."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone at church says they're praying through their struggles. I'm the only one who needs pills to function. If I really trusted God, I wouldn't need these antidepressants. My faith must be defective.
"No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities."

She watches influencers post about 'choosing Jesus over anxiety' while she can't get out of bed without medication. The shame is crushing because church culture celebrates 'prayer warriors' who white-knuckle through mental illness.
Timothy had chronic stomach issues and frequent illnesses. Paul didn't tell him to pray harder or fast longer—he told him to take medicine (wine for medicinal purposes). Physical help was never positioned against spiritual faith.
I REFUSE the lie that medication disqualifies my faith or disappoints my Father. IT IS WRITTEN that Paul prescribed medicine to Timothy without shame, and Luke the physician traveled with the apostles. My medication is not evidence of weak faith—it's evidence of a good Father who gives wisdom through doctors and healing through multiple channels. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came that I might have LIFE abundantly, and that includes mental and physical health. I am righteous, loved, and fully approved while taking every pill prescribed. The BARAK blessing of Abraham covers my whole being—spirit, soul, AND body. I receive health through every avenue my Father provides.
Your Father isn't standing at a distance waiting for you to prove you can manage without help. He's running toward you with the prescription in one hand and His embrace in the other, celebrating that you're getting the support you need. He created the chemistry that makes your brain function—medication just helps that chemistry balance.
