"Tithing is the only way to unlock God's blessing and provision"
How it sounds in your head: I hear that if I don't give 10%, God won't bless me or the windows of heaven stay closed. Like His provision is locked behind a paywall and I have to earn access through giving the right amount.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8Source: Religion putting Old Covenant law requirements on New Covenant believers, making blessing conditional on performance.
She's heard Malachi 3:10 preached as a transaction: give 10% and God opens heaven; don't give and you're robbing God. It sounds like blessing is conditional on her giving the 'right' amount, so she thinks provision is earned, not received.
Abraham was 'very rich in livestock, silver, and gold' BEFORE he ever tithed to Melchizedek in Genesis 14. The BARAK blessing was already on him by covenant, not by percentage given—his wealth came from God's promise, not his giving.
I REFUSE the lie that I have to tithe to unlock God's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes all grace ABOUND toward me, giving me all sufficiency in all things. I'm not under law—I'm under GRACE. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13 that Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law so the blessing of Abraham would come upon me. The BARAK blessing isn't unlocked by 10%—it's mine by covenant. I give generously because I'm already blessed, not to earn blessing. My provision flows from His grace, not my percentage.
Your Father isn't holding provision hostage until you pay the entry fee—He already poured out everything at the cross. He's not a vending machine; He's a Father running toward you with abundance because you're His daughter, not because you gave the right amount.
