"This sickness glorifies God more than healing would because people see my faith."
How it sounds in your head: If I was healed, people would just forget. But staying sick while trusting God—that's a real testimony. Maybe my faith in suffering glorifies Him more.
"When Jesus heard that, He said, 'This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.'"
-- John 11:4Religious teaching that endurance in sickness glorifies God more than receiving healing, making the devil's work seem like God's glory.
Healed people blend in, but suffering saints get noticed. The attention and admiration for 'faithful suffering' feels like it honors God more than normalcy.
He was dead for FOUR DAYS, body decomposing, seemingly past all hope. Jesus called him out of the tomb and he walked out ALIVE—the glory came through resurrection, not accepting death.
I REFUSE the lie that sickness glorifies God more than healing. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil—and sickness is the devil's work. God is glorified when I'm WHOLE, not when I'm broken. Jesus healed them ALL, and every healing brought glory to the Father. IT IS WRITTEN that He bore my sicknesses so I could carry His health. My testimony of instant healing will bring more glory than years of faithful suffering. I am healed for His glory.
The Father doesn't gain more glory from your suffering—He's already glorified through the cross. He's running toward you with healing because His glory shines brightest through RESURRECTION, not endurance of death.
