"They'll discover I never really had it all together like they thought."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone looked up to me—asked my advice, wanted to be like me. But I was a mess inside. My marriage had problems. My kids struggled. I had doubts. If they knew the REAL me, they'd be so disappointed.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Source: religion—the Pharisee spirit that demands appearing perfect while dying inside, the whitewashed tomb performance.
You see the gap between their perception and your internal reality. You remember the struggles you hid, the doubts you buried, the pain you masked. The enemy says that gap makes you a hypocrite.
Denied Jesus THREE times, cursing and swearing he didn't know Him—the ultimate public failure. Jesus didn't disqualify him; He IMMEDIATELY restored him and said, 'Feed My sheep'—making the denier the foundation of the church.
I REFUSE the lie that my internal struggles invalidated my external ministry. IT IS WRITTEN: His strength is PERFECTED in weakness! My doubts, my marriage struggles, my parenting failures—these were not disqualifications but the PROOF that anything good flowing through me was HIM. The woman at the well had five failed marriages and was living with a sixth man—Jesus made her the FIRST evangelist to Samaria! IT IS WRITTEN: we have this treasure in earthen vessels. My cracks let HIS light shine through. The BARAK protected Jacob even through deception—how much MORE does grace cover me! I was not a hypocrite—I was a broken vessel pouring out living water I didn't generate myself.
The Father is saying, 'You think I didn't KNOW about your struggles? Beloved, I was IN them with you—and I still chose to flow through you. Your brokenness made you beautiful to Me.'
