"My achievements are accidents. I haven't actually earned the right to be here."
How it sounds in your head: Right place, right time. Right answer on the test you guessed on. Right impression on the person who mattered. None of it was real skill—just fortunate circumstances you stumbled into.
"A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps."
-- Proverbs 16:9World's merit-based system and enemy accusation denying divine positioning.
You can trace every success back to a 'lucky break' or a moment you weren't sure about. It feels dishonest to claim credit when you see all the variables that could have gone wrong.
Foreign widow who 'happened' to glean in Boaz's field. The text says she 'happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz'—but that 'accident' led to her becoming great-grandmother of King David and ancestor of Jesus.
I REFUSE the lie that my achievements are accidents. IT IS WRITTEN: The LORD directs my steps—every 'lucky break' was HIS HAND positioning me. Ruth 'happened' to glean in Boaz's field and became great-grandmother of kings. IT IS WRITTEN: I am blessed coming in and going out because of the BARAK covenant. My steps are ordered by the Lord, and what the world calls coincidence is DIVINE APPOINTMENT. I didn't stumble into success—GOD LED ME HERE. I have not earned my place by merit but I am POSITIONED by His sovereign grace, and I receive it with thanksgiving.
The Father orchestrates every 'accident' with precision because He delights in positioning His children for blessing. Like Ruth 'happening' into the field that changed her destiny, your fortunate breaks are His fingerprints, not random chance.
