"These tormenting thoughts mean a demon has entered me and I'm no longer protected."
How it sounds in your head: The thoughts are so dark, so foreign. Would I think these things if I were truly filled with the Holy Spirit? Maybe something got in when I was weak. I feel invaded.
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
-- 2 Corinthians 10:4-5Enemy implants thoughts then accuses her of ownership, using religious teaching that 'Christians can't have demons' to make her question salvation itself.
The thoughts feel invasive and unlike her true self, which the enemy uses to suggest possession rather than external attack. Religious confusion about whether believers can be demonized creates fear instead of authority.
Jesus identified a demonic suggestion coming THROUGH Peter ('Get behind Me, Satan') but didn't call Peter possessed—He rebuked the source and it left. Peter remained Jesus' beloved disciple, proving believers can reject enemy thoughts without being demonized.
I REFUSE the lie that tormenting thoughts mean I'm possessed or unprotected. IT IS WRITTEN that I have weapons mighty in God to cast down every argument and bring every thought captive. These are external attacks, not internal ownership. I am SEALED with the Holy Spirit and that seal cannot be broken. IT IS WRITTEN that I am hidden with Christ in God. No demon can evict the Spirit who lives in me. I reject these thoughts in Jesus' name and they must flee.
The Father sees the warfare you're facing and He's not condemning you for the battle—He's placing His armor on you, saying 'These aren't your thoughts, beloved. You're sealed, protected, MINE. Reject them and watch them scatter.'
