"These intrusive thoughts prove demons have access to my mind and I'm not truly saved."
How it sounds in your head: If I were really a Christian, I wouldn't have these dark, violent, sexual thoughts bombarding me constantly. The fact that they keep coming means demons still have legal access. Maybe I'm not actually saved.
"Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
-- 2 Corinthians 10:5Source: Enemy uses normal brain function (intrusive thoughts are common) combined with religious teaching that Christians should have perfect thought lives, creating fear about salvation status.
The thoughts feel foreign and evil, appearing without his consent, so he assumes external demonic source. Religion taught him true Christians don't struggle with dark thoughts, so their presence means something's wrong with his salvation.
Peter spoke Satan's words directly—'Get behind Me, Satan' Jesus said to him—yet three chapters later Jesus gave him keys to the kingdom. One satanic thought didn't disqualify him or prove demonic possession; it proved he needed to recognize the source and reject it.
I REFUSE the lie that intrusive thoughts prove demonic access or lost salvation. IT IS WRITTEN that I am SEALED by the Holy Spirit, and no demon can break that seal. Thoughts are suggestions, not agreements. I am the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Christ, and my identity doesn't change based on what pops into my head. IT IS WRITTEN that NO ONE can snatch me out of the Father's hand. I am protected by the BARAK blessing—the covenant that shielded Abraham the liar shields me now. My salvation is SECURE.
The Father isn't waiting for your thought life to clean up before He claims you—He's already running toward you, robe ready, declaring you RIGHTEOUS based on Jesus' blood, not your brain chemistry. Every intrusive thought is an opportunity to remember whose you are.
