"Their rebellion is evidence that I wasn't anointed or called to parent."
How it sounds in your head: Real ministers have obedient kids. Abraham's seed produces godly offspring. You must not be truly called if your own house isn't in order. How can you serve in ministry when your kid is serving the enemy? Maybe you missed your calling. Maybe you were never really chosen.
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
-- Romans 11:29Religion makes family outcome the measure of calling—creating a works-based identity instead of blood-based inheritance.
1 Timothy 3 seems to require leaders' kids to be believers. You can't serve with this shame. People are watching. Maybe you need to step down until this is resolved.
Aaron was the HIGH PRIEST, chosen by God, when his sons Nadab and Abihu offered unauthorized fire and were struck dead for it. God didn't remove Aaron from the priesthood—his calling stood DESPITE his sons' fatal rebellion. Calling isn't dependent on children's obedience.
I REFUSE the lie that my child's rebellion disqualifies my calling or proves I was never anointed. IT IS WRITTEN that 'the gifts and calling of God are IRREVOCABLE' (Romans 11:29)—not revocable-if-kids-rebel, IRREVOCABLE. Aaron remained high priest after his sons died in rebellion. Samuel remained prophet when his sons went wayward. IT IS WRITTEN: 'You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood' (1 Peter 2:9)—that's IDENTITY by blood, not by family results. I am Abraham's seed, heir to the BARAK blessing based on COVENANT not performance. My calling stands because GOD is faithful, not because my house is perfect.
The Father doesn't revoke your calling because your child is rebelling—that would make your identity about their choices instead of His choice. You're called because He chose you, period. Their journey doesn't change your assignment.
