"The younger generation doesn't respect or value what I've walked through."
How it sounds in your head: They dismiss my stories as irrelevant. They think I don't understand their world. My hard-earned lessons fall on deaf ears—they'd rather Google it than ask me.
"You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the Lord."
-- Leviticus 19:32Cultural lie that wisdom is outdated instead of ESSENTIAL foundation.
She offers hard-won insights and gets polite nods followed by them doing exactly what she warned against. They turn to influencers over elders, and her lived experience feels dismissed as 'different times.'
The young prophets thought they knew better than Elisha about where to build. But when they lost the axe head in the river—an impossible situation—they RAN to the old prophet. Elisha made iron FLOAT. Suddenly the young men remembered why they needed the elder.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm not respected or valued. IT IS WRITTEN that they shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man—this is God's COMMAND, not a suggestion. When honor isn't given willingly, God will ENFORCE it. IT IS WRITTEN to listen to your mother when she is old and not despise her wisdom. Like Elisha whose young prophets came running when they hit the impossible, the generation will RETURN when their methods fail and they need PROVEN power. I am not dismissed—I am strategically positioned. The Abrahamic BARAK flows through me, and God is bringing hungry hearts to my door. My voice WILL be heard, my wisdom WILL be sought, and this generation will RISE to honor what I carry.
The Father isn't letting your wisdom fall on deaf ears—He's preparing a CRASH that will send them running to tested voices. Like Elisha whose young prophets remembered his value when they needed a miracle, they're coming back, and they'll cling to every word you've tried to give them.
