"I need to figure out my whole life path now or I'll miss God's plan."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone's asking about college and your future and you feel paralyzed. What if you choose wrong? What if you miss THE plan God has and mess up your whole life because you picked the wrong major at 17?
"A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps."
-- Proverbs 16:9Religious performance lie that God's plan is fragile and depends on you making perfect decisions.
Adults keep asking what you want to do with your life and you have NO idea. College applications demand you declare a major. It feels like one wrong choice could derail everything.
Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery—the WORST possible detour from any 'plan.' He spent 13 years in slavery and prison for a crime he didn't commit. But God used every 'wrong turn' to position him as second-in-command of Egypt, and Joseph said 'You meant evil, but God meant it for good.'
I REFUSE the lie that I can miss God's plan with one wrong decision. IT IS WRITTEN that I plan my way but the LORD directs my steps. I am not responsible for orchestrating my entire future at 17. God is not nervous about my college major or career path. IT IS WRITTEN that He works ALL things together for good because I love Him. Even my 'mistakes' are raw material for His masterpiece. I am under the BARAK—blessed coming in and going out. He leads me in paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake, not my perfect planning.
The Father isn't holding His breath waiting for you to guess the right answer. He's already directing your steps, working in your confusion, turning even your 'wrong' choices into setup for miracles, running toward you with grace for every uncertain moment.
