"The enemy is winning this battle and I'm losing ground every day."
How it sounds in your head: Every time I think I'm doing better, something else goes wrong. My girlfriend broke up with me, I'm failing calculus, and I can't stop looking at porn. Satan has me pinned down and I'm too weak to fight back.
"Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."
-- Colossians 2:15Source: enemy accusation amplified by defeat-focused teaching that measures spiritual success by visible circumstances instead of covenant position.
His circumstances feel like scoreboard proof—relationships falling apart, grades dropping, sexual struggles intensifying. The more he fights in his own strength, the more exhausted and defeated he feels, confirming the lie that he's losing.
Jehoshaphat faced THREE armies—impossible odds, certain death. He didn't fight—he worshiped, and God made the enemies kill EACH OTHER while Israel collected spoils for three days.
I REFUSE the lie that the enemy is winning. IT IS WRITTEN in Colossians 2:15 that Jesus ALREADY triumphed over every power and made a public spectacle of them. The battle isn't mine—it's the Lord's. I am not losing ground—I am seated with Christ in heavenly places FAR ABOVE all principality and power. IT IS WRITTEN in 1 John 4:4 that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine—even when Abraham LIED twice, God defended and enriched him because of COVENANT. My victory is based on CHRIST'S performance, not mine.
Your Father sees you exhausted from fighting and He's running toward you with the victory trophy already in hand. He's not waiting for you to defeat the enemy—He ALREADY did it and He's inviting you to REST in His finished work while He parades you as the winner.
