"The enemy is too strong. I don't know enough Scripture to fight him."
How it sounds in your head: I see these younger people with their Bible apps and verse memory. I didn't grow up with all that. I know some verses, but when the enemy attacks, I freeze. I don't have the arsenal they have.
"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
-- 1 John 4:4Enemy + comparison - making warfare about KNOWLEDGE instead of POSITION, about what she knows instead of WHO she knows.
She compares herself to Bible teachers and theologians, forgetting that simple faith in who Jesus is carries more power than encyclopedic knowledge. The thief on the cross knew almost nothing but met Jesus anyway.
Seven educated sons of a Jewish chief priest tried to cast out demons using formulas and Jesus' name without relationship. The demon said 'Jesus I know, Paul I know, but who are you?' and beat them naked. It's not KNOWLEDGE of Scripture—it's RELATIONSHIP with Jesus that carries authority.
I REFUSE the lie that the enemy is too strong or that I need more knowledge to defeat him. IT IS WRITTEN that He who is IN me is greater than he who is in the world. My authority doesn't come from memorizing verses—it comes from ABIDING in the Vine. The thief on the cross knew almost nothing but met Jesus anyway and was INSTANTLY in Paradise. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 2:9-10 that at the name of JESUS every knee must bow. I don't need to out-argue the enemy. I need to speak ONE NAME: JESUS. That name empties hell and fills Heaven, and I carry it in my mouth and my spirit. I am VICTORIOUS because of WHO lives in me.
The Father isn't grading you on Scripture memory. He's given you His SPIRIT—the same power that spoke galaxies into existence. You don't need more information; you need to remember whose DAUGHTER you are.
