"I don't know enough Bible verses to fight the enemy"
How it sounds in your head: When I try to pray against fear or lies, I feel stupid because I can't quote Scripture like pastors do. The devil probably laughs at me. I need to memorize more verses before I can actually do spiritual warfare.
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues."
-- Mark 16:17Religious spirit making authority about Bible knowledge instead of covenant position
She watches online preachers quote chapters perfectly and feels like a fraud when she can only remember fragments. Her youth group emphasizes memorization, making her feel like spiritual power is locked behind information.
The thief knew no theology, attended no church, memorized no verses—he just said 'Jesus, remember me' in simple belief. Jesus gave him instant salvation and paradise that same day.
I REFUSE the lie that I need perfect Bible knowledge to have authority. IT IS WRITTEN that signs follow those who BELIEVE, not those who have memorized enough. The NAME of Jesus is my weapon, and demons tremble at that Name regardless of how many verses I know. IT IS WRITTEN that the foolish things confound the wise—God loves using the 'unqualified' to shame the experts. I am in covenant, marked by the BARAK blessing, and my authority flows from WHO I belong to, not WHAT I've memorized. The enemy flees at Jesus' Name on MY lips.
The Father isn't holding a Bible quiz before releasing your authority—He already gave you the NAME that is above every name. A toddler with a police badge has more authority than a criminal with a law degree, and you carry the Name that makes demons flee.
