"The enemy knows my weaknesses, so he has power over me."
How it sounds in your head: He knows exactly what tempts you. He's been watching, learning your patterns. He knows where you're vulnerable. That gives him an advantage, a foothold. You're predictable, and he's using it against you. You're losing because he knows you too well.
"And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion...and put all things under His feet."
-- Ephesians 1:19-22Source: Enemy magnified his knowledge of your weaknesses while hiding the fact that he's UNDER your feet regardless.
The same temptations hit the same way every time. It feels like the enemy has a blueprint of your weak spots and exploits them expertly. You fall into predictable patterns and feel powerless to change them.
Samson's weakness—lust for Delilah—got him captured, blinded, and imprisoned. The enemy knew EXACTLY how to take him down. But in his final moment, broken and blind, Samson prayed once and God gave him strength to kill more enemies in his death than in his entire life. One prayer obliterated the enemy's 'advantage.'
I REFUSE the lie that my weaknesses give the enemy power over me. IT IS WRITTEN that ALL things are under Jesus' feet, and I am seated WITH Him in heavenly places. The enemy is beneath me, not above me, regardless of what he knows. My weaknesses don't change my position in Christ. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:37 that I am MORE than a conqueror through Him who loved me. I am Abraham's seed, blessed despite my flaws, and the BARAK covered imperfect people for generations.
The Father isn't worried about what the enemy knows. He's saying, 'He's under your feet. Stop giving him credit for power I already stripped from him. Your weakness is where My strength shows up best.' He's not ashamed of your weak spots—He's planning to display His power through them.
